Baton Rouge Blues Fest
April 19-April 21The Baton Rouge Blues Festival is a free music festival in downtown Baton Rouge, surrounding North Boulevard from 5th Street to Lafayette Street. Featuring multiple music stages, vendors, artists, kids activities and more, this is the perfect free, family-friendly festival!
Love the Boot Week
April 20-April 28
A week of statewide litter clean up, beautification, and recycling. The first 300 organizations to register events for Love the Boot Week will receive supply kits with 25 volunteer t-shirts, gloves, and trash bags. Sign up at www.lovetheboot.org
Festival International de Louisiane

Premiere international music, food, and arts festival known for bringing a variety of unique and emerging performers to Downtown Lafayette.
Elvis Festival
April 25-27, Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center, Alexandria
A weekend of Elvis fun featuring some of the world’s top Elvis Tribute Artists performing a wide variety of hits backed by a live band. 5 different shows.
Pirates & Boots Festival
April 27, 2024, Houma Downtown Marina
Live pirate performances, live local bands, local artisans and vendors, and delectable eats! Dedicated kids' area features face painting, inflatables, and interactive games. Admission is free.
New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival
April 25–May 7
One of the biggest cultural events in the state, attracting visitors from across the globe. Live music has become the festival’s primary calling card and this year’s event will feature The Rolling Stones as its headline act.
Tunica-Biloxi Pow Wow
May 18-19, Marksville
This annual event is held outdoors at the Chief Joseph Alcide Pierite Pow Wow Grounds on the Tunica-Biloxi reservation featuring a variety of interactive events, such as vibrant arts and crafts displays, musical performances, dance demonstrations and cultural exhibits.
Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival
May 20-21, Downtown Baton Rouge
Full of good eats for the entire family! This family-friendly event is free to the public and features blues, soul, R&B, gospel and Christian music, as well as a Vendor’s Village and soul food cooking contest.
