On Tuesday, May 10, fifteen ZHS athletes from five different teams signed to continue their athletic careers in college. ZHS Baseball, Cross Country/Track, Football, Softball and Basketball teams were all represented. Family, friends, teachers, coaches, and students filled the gym to watch these athletes sign their letters of intent. The students’ coaches were on hand to talk a bit about the athletes, commend them, and wish them well. Many of these students are excellent athletes and also performed exceptionally well academically. ZCSD Athletic Director and head football coach, David Brewerton, discussed how special it is to celebrate many athletes from different ZHS teams all together with joint signings.
