The City of Zachary is pleased to announce the hiring of Ashleigh McHugh as the Director of Economic Development/Community Engagement.

Ashleigh was born and raised in Zachary and is a proud Zachary High graduate. Her community involvement includes Zachary Rotary Club and Must Luv Dogs Rescue. Prior to accepting this position, she was the Executive Director at the Zachary Chamber of Commerce where she built long-lasting relationships with local businesses.

As the Director of Economic Development/Community Engagement, she is tasked with analyzing existing and future business needs, identifying potential development sites promoting business growth, and maximizing the economic vitality and connectivity of the city.

In addition, she will assist in organizing, planning, implementing, and promoting activities for all city-wide activities in the City of Zachary.  She will engage with community groups and stakeholders to unite the community for festivals and events.
