Professional Insurance Agents of Louisiana has installed Danette Castello, of Castello Insurance Agency, as the 2023-24 President during its 79th Annual Convention held at The Grand Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa in Point Clear, AL. Castello will accede September 1, 2023.

Danette began her insurance career in 1997 as a CSR in her father-in-law James Castello's agency and obtained her Life & Health License. She left the agency to pursue work in various other industries, but returned to insurance in 2000 where she worked as the underwriting manager for the MGA of the Farmers book of business for Mississippi and Louisiana. In 2004, Danette began working as a Property & Casualty Producer for Castello Agency. In 2015, she purchased the agency and became the sole owner. Danette obtained her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2010 and became a Notary Public in 2012.

Danette has served on the PIA of Louisiana Board of Directors since 2019. In addition to time invested in PIA, Danette has volunteered for many community events and served on multiple boards and committees. She served as an active board member of The Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce of Zachary for several years and served as President of Rotary Club (2010) and President of the Zachary Chamber of Commerce (2016).  Her Agency was awarded the People’s Choice Award for Best Professional Office in Zachary in 2022 by the Zachary Chamber of Commerce.

Castello Insurance Agency is located at 4257 Church Street, Suite 107. In addition to Home, Auto, and Business Insurance, they also offer Notary Public services.
