Choosing the Destination
When it comes to travel, sometimes the most unexpected journeys lead to the most incredible experiences. Cecil and Sarah Graves recently found themselves embarking on an unforgettable adventure to Prague, Czech Republic and Munich, Germany thanks to Cecil's top earning achievement with State Farm. Here's a glimpse into their journey that left them with lasting memories.Exceeding Expectations
Prague turned out to be the highlight of the trip, surpassing their expectations. Cecil and Sarah were captivated by everything this enchanting city had to offer. The warmth of the local people, the awe-inspiring churches, and the majestic castles all combined to create an experience that felt like stepping into a fairy tale.
Coming from the United States, where history is relatively young, they were deeply moved by the profound historical heritage that surrounded them in Prague. Cecil remarked, "Being in the US, we never get to see buildings and history like this. It really helped us realize how grateful we should be for this amazing country we get to thrive in as Americans. But Prague is definitely a place we will return to."
Words of Wisdom
Reflecting on their journey, Cecil and Sarah have some valuable advice for travelers interested in visiting Prague and Munich. "Be intentional with your trip," they suggest. "Have excursions lined up so you can listen and learn about their history and the amazing stories that are inside those places."
And don't forget your appetite! The couple raved about the local cuisine and the beautiful weather they encountered. For accommodation, they highly recommend the Mandarin Hotel in Prague, where comfort and luxury meet historical charm.
"Prague may be the prettiest city we’ve been too! This city was started in the second half of the 9th century! Weather is amazing, people are incredibly kind, no littering on the streets, food is reasonably priced, and the hotel is crazy cool!"
When asked who this destination is best suited for, Cecil replied, "This trip is great for anything you are wanting to accomplish." He suggests it's particularly well-suited for older children who can better understand the rich history and heritage of the region. "History buffs would definitely drool over this trip! Getting to see where Beethoven and Michelangelo lived was pretty crazy."
Unexpected Celebrity Encounter
On the trip home, Cecil and Sarah ran into a familiar face to some, but not necessarily to them. Danny McBride is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter and producer best known for his starring roles in the HBO television series, Eastbound & Down, Vice Principals and The Righteous Gemstones.
"We ran into Danny McBride at the Munich airport headed back to the USA. He had what looked like his wife and two kids with him. Super nice guy, took pictures and chatted with those in line with him and then again at baggage claim in Atlanta. I honestly didn’t know who he was until other State Farm agents said who he was, so I figured I would say hey let’s take a picture, ask how his year was going, and wish each other safe travels back to the states. Wish I had a more gushy story but it really was a respectful tee up for a selfie!"
Cecil and Sarah Graves' journey to Prague and Munich reminds us that travel is not just about discovering new places; it's also about discovering new perspectives and cultures. Whether you're a history buff, a couple in search of romance, or a family looking to create lasting memories, Prague and Munich are waiting to enchant you with their magic.
