Do You Know The Most Courteous Teacher In Zachary?

Jan 19, 2024 02:26PM ● By Lauren Pope

The Louisiana State Cotillion organization will recognize the state’s most courteous educators during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4th-12th.

“Teachers encounter both joyful and challenging experiences daily. The wide range of circumstances they undergo requires tremendous enthusiasm, patience, and diplomacy. Those who demonstrate outstanding courtesy and kindness while maintaining a disciplined classroom environment set positive examples for their students. They should be recognized for that,” said State Program Director, Beth Young.

Nominations will be accepted by both students and parents, by sending a short essay (one paragraph to one page) describing the attributes the nominees possess that qualify them for the distinction. Personal stories are permitted and encouraged. Awards will also be given for the top three essays.

Nominees may be past teachers but must be in an active teaching capacity in the state of Louisiana. Entries must include the school and city where they currently teach, or where they taught the student. Up to three nominations per person are accepted. Submit entries to [email protected] by the deadline of April 1st.
