A New Multi-Use Space is Opening in the Zaks Storefront

Enter Janaé London. She is a teacher and Licensed Aesthetician who has big dreams for this small space. She operates her aesthetics business, Janae Nichole Aesthetics full time in a private area in the rear of the building, leaving the main space open for many possibilities.
She focuses mostly on lashes, waxing, and facials, but she has the ability to do other services as well. Her hours are 3PM to 9PM Monday - Friday and 8AM to 5PM on Saturday. In addition to her role as a Licensed Aesthetician, she's also a Special Ed teacher, so she fully understands the difficulty of finding "me time" around regular business hours.
When I visited, she had set up the space in several configurations to give an idea about the possibilities. She recently hosted the Silent Book Club by creating a relaxing lounging area for people to chat and read. But if someone needs a reception space, she can turn the venue into a seated dining area with ease. Below shows a taste of both of those options.
When the space isn't being used for events, it can be rented by hair stylists and other beauticians. "Everything is modular," she explains "We can have it set up for you when you need it, but pack things away for events with ease."

"I wanted to create a multi-use space that can be used for many different types of events. This space can be used for everything from graduation parties and baby showers, to even micro weddings or art exhibitions," explains Janaé. She recently raised some shelving to counter height to give even more dining flexibility. "I did it so that you could have additional space around the room to expand the seating options."
