LA Night Jam: The Ultimate Night-Time Water Sports Festival Returns

LA Night Jam, a night-time professional water sports competition and festival, is back for the third consecutive season on Saturday night, June 8th, at TriLakes – home of Bennett’s Water Ski and Wakeboard School.

The event continues to attract the world’s top water ski jumping talent, who will compete under stadium lighting for substantial cash prizes and points on the season-long Water Ski Pro Tour. Among the competitors is Hanna Straltsova, a Zachary resident for the past six years, originally from Belarus. Straltsova, who won every major event last season and secured two world championship titles, aims to defend her title. She has already achieved one of her main goals this season by winning the jump event at the prestigious Masters event in Callaway Gardens, Georgia, on Memorial Day weekend. Straltsova is on a mission to remain undefeated and break the 200-foot barrier, setting a new world women’s jumping record.

The men’s field will feature athletes who have won every major accolade, including former world champion and record holder Freddy Krueger. Krueger, the most experienced competitor, learned much of his craft at TriLakes and secured his first professional victory in Louisiana in 1995. His connection to Louisiana is further strengthened by his MBA from LSU. Krueger’s dedication and annual return are greatly supported by the Zachary community.

This event is supported by many local entities, including title sponsor Tides Medical, Louisiana’s Office of Tourism, Visit Baton Rouge, and The Zachary Chamber of Commerce. Other supporters include BROC, Cecil Graves Chevy/GMC, City of Zachary, Community Coffee, Benny’s Car Wash, San Antonio Surgical Arts, Ochsner Medical, DC Motorsports, Dolphin Wetsuits, Quality Lube, and Zachary Spine & Sports Rehabilitation.
