Gafford Family Purchases Virginia St. Snowballs

The Gafford family, known for their successful snowball stand in Baton Rouge, has returned to Zachary to make it a little bit sweeter. After a stint in Houston where they founded a church, the Gaffords are back, bringing their expertise to a beloved local establishment.

Jonathan Gafford, who ran a general contracting business upon returning to the area, saw potential in Virginia Street's snowball stand where his daughter Abigail worked. Recognizing an opportunity for improvement, he quickly negotiated ownership with the previous proprietor, businessman Brandon Noel.

Under the Gaffords' management, the stand has undergone slight but significant upgrades. Customers can now enjoy improved indoor and outdoor seating, order through DoorDash, and even book private parties. The family has also committed to maintaining a consistent flavor inventory and continuing the popular crawfish offerings during the season.

For the Gaffords, this venture is more than just business—it's a calling. "We see running the snowball stand as part of our mission to love people and make someone's day brighter," Mr. Gafford explains. "It's our way of bringing value and goodness to the world."

While Jonathan oversees the improvements, it's his daughter Abigail who will ultimately run the business, ensuring that this family legacy continues to serve the Zachary community they've grown to love.
