The East Feliciana Mighty Knights Youth Football Team is kicking off their fundraising efforts with a unique shoe drive. Partnering with Funds2Orgs, the team is collecting gently used shoes to support both their upcoming season and small businesses in developing countries.

Team Mom Ashley Rogillio explained, "We're excited about this fundraiser because it helps us while also making a difference globally."

The Mighty Knights, made up of football and cheer team members aged 5-12 from East Feliciana and nearby areas, are aiming to collect 250 pairs of shoes. They're already 90% of the way there.

Want to help? Drop off your old kicks at Fun Time Pools in Zachary any day except Sunday. The fundraiser runs through September 15th.  If you can't make it there, give Ashley a call at 225-310-9058 or shoot an email to [email protected] to arrange a pickup.

The team's season starts with a scrimmage on August 10 in Centreville, MS. Home games will be played at Slaughter Community Charter School in Slaughter, LA.
