It’s the official start of Fire Prevention Month. This year’s theme is “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!” Follow Zachary Fire Department's Facebook page for daily safety tips for the month of October.
By incorporating these tips not only throughout October but every day, you'll help create a safer environment for you and your family.
Smoke Alarms: Install smoke alarms and test them regularly. Smoke alarms are essential tools for fire prevention, offering early warnings that can save lives.
ZFD actively participates in the SFM Operation Save-A-Life Program. As part of this program, our dedicated firefighters will install smoke detectors for families in need. If you don’t currently have smoke detectors in your home, don’t hesitate to reach out the Zachary Fire Department at 225-654-0026.
