Oct 23, 2024 09:08AM ● By Lauren Pope

The Love Impact Coalition and Southern University's Increasing Clinicians of Diversity are joining forces to provide much-needed healthcare services to Baton Rouge residents. A free health clinic will be held this Saturday, October 26th, at the Raising Canes River Center from 7 AM to 6 PM.

The clinic will offer comprehensive vision services, including eye examinations and prescription glasses, alongside essential dental care such as cleanings, extractions, and fillings. The event aims to remove common healthcare barriers by requiring no appointments, identification, or insurance.

This community initiative is supported by several local organizations, including Southern University, Louisiana Healthcare Connections, and the YWCA of Greater Baton Rouge, among others. The clinic, located at 275 S. River Road in Baton Rouge, will also provide health education and additional resources to attendees.

For residents seeking dental or vision care, this represents a valuable opportunity to receive professional healthcare services without financial burden. The event's organizers emphasize accessibility by making the clinic available to all community members, regardless of their documentation or insurance status.
