'Jesus Changes Everything': St. John's Catholic Church Hosts 12th Annual Morning of Reflection in Zachary

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary, will host its 12th Annual Morning of
Reflection on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 8:00 am until noon in the Parish Activity
Center which fronts on Lee Street. This year there will be two speakers, Marli Freas
and Mike Fulmer. The theme is “Jesus Changes Everything”
The event is free, but registration is required. Reserve a seat online www.sjb-
ola/SayYes by January 6, 2025. You can also register by calling the church office at
225-654-5778. There will be door prizes and a raffle for some lovely items donated by
our sponsors.
The morning will include a light brunch. Free babysitting will be provided upon
request. For babysitting you MUST pre-register so that we can have enough staff to
look after the children while their mothers are in the meeting.
Women of all faiths are invited to attend. Men are also invited to attend.
Marli Freas is a native of Covington, LA and a former youth ministry and Catholic
Theology high school teaching career she followed God’s call to become a clinical
mental health counselor. She graduated from St. Scholastica Academy and holds
several college degrees from various institutions. She is currently a doctoral candidate
and is working on a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. She is passionate
about building the kingdom of Heaven and serving Jesus through women’s ministry.
Mike Fulmer, a native of New Roads and a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana
University.
He is an active lay person in St. Joseph and St. Margaret Parishes near Ponchatoula,
La. Mike proudly serves on the foundation board for Our Lady of Hope in Chatawa,
Mississippi. As a convert to Catholicism, he enjoys studying scripture, sharing his
testimony, and evangelizing the truth of the Catholic Faith. He has given over 300
presentations and is an accomplished speaker.
The Handmaids of the Lord is coordinating the event in conjunction with the St. John’s
Altar Society, and Circle of Love Catholic Daughters of the Americas organizations.
These groups encourage fellowship among women and foster a joyful sharing of our
faith with each other. They endeavor to spread the love of Christ to all, with an
emphasis on feminine spirituality as modeled by Our Lady. For more information call
