Team Je'Caryous Benefit Dinner

Je'Caryous Johnson (#20), a promising junior running back for the Zachary High School Broncos, is facing the battle of his life after being diagnosed with cancer. Throughout last season, Johnson played through persistent leg pain that initially puzzled doctors. It wasn't until his mother, Ashley Webb, noticed concerning weight loss after the season that further testing was pursued, leading to an MRI at Children's Hospital that revealed the source - a mass on his kidney that was causing nerve pressure.

Johnson underwent surgery and began his chemotherapy journey, spending nearly a month in the hospital from December 17th until just recently. While he's relieved to be back home, he faces a challenging year of chemotherapy ahead. His mother reports that while the treatments are showing positive results and his leg pain has improved, the family needs continued prayers and support during this long recovery process.
The community is rallying around Je'Caryous, who balances his passion for football with an interest in welding, through a benefit dinner scheduled for Saturday, January 25th, 2025, from 1:00-4:00 PM at the BREC Gym (19550 Plank Road, Zachary, LA). For $12, attendees will enjoy a meal of jambalaya, chicken wings, green beans, cake, and more. The event will also feature a $5 gas card raffle, with all proceeds going toward Je'Caryous' medical expenses.
For those unable to attend but wishing to help, donations of any size are welcomed through the provided payment QR codes on the flyer.
