It's Sous Chef Season for the Girls

There's something magical about summer evenings-the smell of fresh-cut grass, kids chasing fireflies at dusk, and the sounds of a sizzling grill and clicking tongs in the background: the official siren song of Sous Chef Season.

That's right, ladies. It's our turn to slide into a more glamourous kitchen role: prep-and-serve queen. Frose on the patio supervisor. Humble cucumber slicer.

Sous Chef Season is when dads across the land don their "Kiss the Cook" aprons and take their rightful place behind the grill with a brewski.

Let the fellas run the show while we casually whip up a few low-lift, high-impact dishes that elevate the whole meal. And when it comes to fresh summer flavors, there's no better inspiration than a Lebanese Girl Summer-inspired by my late grandmother Sita, who knew her way around a seasonal spread better than anyone.
