Port Hudson State Historic Site: Living History Re-enactment

There will be a living history re-enactment beginning when the site opens at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 15, 2024.

There will be a living history re-enactment beginning when the site opens at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 15, 2024. The action will start with an artillery duel lasting until about 10:00 AM and then the main assault will begin and last approximately 30-40 minutes.

Once that has concluded, the volunteers will then proceed to re-enact siege warfare throughout the remainder of the day until 5:00 PM with occasional artillery fire and sharpshooting back and forth across the field.

This event will be for only one day on Saturday.

Normal park admission applies - $4.00 per person, children 3 & under are admitted Free as well as adults 62 & older.
