As the Moreau brand approaches its 50th anniversary, its leadership shows no signs of slowing down. On the contrary, they’re leaning into whole-person wellness—expanding services and upgrading their largest local facility to meet the evolving needs of the Zachary community. The newly completed renovations at Moreau Fitness on Church Street bring fitness, sports performance, nutrition, and recovery amenities together under one roof.

“Our goal is to create a facility that brings a higher level of service and results to the community and the City of Zachary,” says Al Moreau III, who now leads the company his late father started in 1977.

Moreau first established the Church Street location in the early 2000s. In recent years, it operated as a membership-based co-op—a model that served its purpose but limited the company’s full potential. With a shift away from that structure and a major investment in upgrades, Moreau’s long-held vision has finally come to life—resulting in a state-of-the-art wellness destination unlike anything Zachary has seen before.

The new sports performance amenities—including high-level coaching, a recovery-first fitness approach, and results-based care plans—paired with focused physical therapy—fill a long-standing gap in local services, bringing big-city training and recovery experiences to the heart of this growing community.

To support this new chapter, Moreau has brought on two respected, well-known professionals with proven track records in developing athletes and elevating performance programs. From cross-training to nutrition coaching, their leadership will help take offerings to the next level.

The updated facility now offers adult outpatient physical therapy, along with aquatic therapy in the indoor heated pool. Massage therapy will be available soon. To further support recovery and enhance performance, Normatec compression therapy is also offered onsite.
