The Z Squad just won their second straight 14 and Under USTA State Championship, and they're not done yet.

This Americana YMCA junior tennis team knows how to win when it counts. After taking the state title last year, they headed to Mobile, Alabama for the Southern Sectionals and fared well against older competition. Now they're back with another state championship under their belt.

Ready for Round Two

End of August, the team heads to Rome, Georgia to represent Louisiana against nine other southern states. With a year of experience under their belts, they're primed to compete for the title.

Coach Chris Anders, the Americana YMCA tennis director, leads the team alongside parent volunteers Hunter and Mikki Bertrand. It's that mix of serious coaching and parent support that's been working.

Louisiana's Best

Two state titles in a row don't happen by accident. The Z Squad has put in the work, and it shows. The kids are hungry for that sectional title, and with their track record, don't count them out.
