Though she lacks formal art education, Courtney has an eye for design and a zest for life she hopes to illustrate and share through her paintings.
Jackie Gray, a Zachary resident for 7 years, is a passionate traveler who finds inspiration in the diverse beauty of the world's cultures. Armed with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, her journey in art began early under the guidance of her portrait-drawing uncle. Winning numerous art competitions as a student, Jackie later became an award-winning art teacher, specializing in face and body art. Transitioning from teaching, she now focuses on her own fine art, exploring subjects like people, pets, and nature in both 2D and 3D forms. Jackie's art serves as a reflection of the world's beauty and its rich tapestry of cultures.
P. Worth Thompson, hailing from Clinton, Louisiana, currently calls Zachary home. Over three decades in education fueled his passion for art, sparked by his innovative approach of incorporating art history into his teaching. A globetrotter, he's traversed six continents, teaching in locales as varied as Saudi Arabia and Malawi. Influenced by his father's reverence for nature and his immersion in diverse cultures, particularly in Islamic and African Folk Art during his overseas ventures, his own artistic expression is a rich tapestry woven with global inspiration and personal insight.

Alice B. Kent, a Lynchburg, Virginia native, has called Clinton, Louisiana home for many years. Her artistic journey began two decades ago among friends, leading her to become an esteemed member of Charter Street Studio, an artist co-op in Jackson, Louisiana. Alongside her creative pursuits, Alice also played a key role in launching the School Art Initiative during her time at Landmark Bank in Clinton
Aubin's roots in Zachary instilled in her a deep appreciation for the natural world from a tender age. As the years unfolded, her artistic inclinations flourished, culminating in her recent decision to devote herself entirely to her small enterprise. Entranced by the delicate beauty of the creatures she works with, she finds fulfillment in immortalizing their essence through her craft. With ambitions spanning beyond her studio walls, she envisions a future where her creations roam the highways, captivating hearts wherever they go. Her unwavering passion and dedication breathe life into each piece, a testament to her boundless creativity and love for her art.
Phoebe Veillion, a self-taught artist residing in Ethel, discovered her passion for creation through her childhood fascination with the intricate beauty of nature. Specializing in vibrant, realistic paintings portraying birds and Louisiana landscapes, she also crafts jewelry from pearls, oysters, gemstones, and hand-painted pieces. Phoebe launched her business, Phoebe's Art and Jewelry Designs, in 2016. Her artwork has garnered acclaim in local galleries, and she regularly showcases her work at juried art markets and festivals. Courtney Maciasz, a skilled artist, embarked on her creative journey after earning her BFA from Louisiana Tech University in 2009. Hailing from Shreveport, Louisiana, she has called Zachary home since 2013. Courtney's artistic vision revolves around the exploration of identity within the context of place, influenced by renowned painters including John Singer Sargent, Anselm Kiefer, and Kehinde Wiley. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Centre for the Arts in New Roads, Louisiana, her innovative leadership is truly worth experiencing firsthand.
Introducing Mr. Darryl Alello, our esteemed art teacher at Copper Mill Elementary. His reputation precedes him, rendering any introduction unnecessary. I defer to him to share his accomplishments and passion for artistry.
Christopher Morrissette a resident of Zachary, having relocated there following an eight-year stint in the Navy. With a lifelong passion for drawing and other art forms, he recently graduated from Full Sail University with a specialization in 3D and digital arts. Currently, he is engaged in a collaboration with a small video game studio, contributing to the development of their artistic vision.
Next artist is Farron Dunlap-Seal. She is a native of Plaquemine, Louisiana and now a 5 year resident of Zachary, La! She and her husband, Brian, are the owners of Cre8ted Spaces Interior Decor. Farron studied Fine Arts and Graphic Design at ULL. It wasn't until she moved to Zachary that she'd found a passion for custom paintings. After sharing a few online, the public started to notice and began requesting commissioned pieces. It's been a world of color since then! Check out some of their work on instagram.
Introducing the inaugural artist of the crawl, Jon Guillaume. A native of Slaughter, LA, and an esteemed alumnus of ZHS, Jon has since risen to prominence as a popular artist in New Orleans and beyond. His lifelong passion for drawing shines through in his captivating creations. We're thrilled to welcome him back and showcase his stunning artwork. He will be located in the newly renovated Carriage House, which is part of the McHugh House.
