Dr. Garon Easing into Retirement

Aug 19, 2024 10:47AM ● By Jen Gennaro
You may have noticed a new sign up on Church Street where pediatric dentist Dr. Mark Garon's sign has been for years.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued trust and confidence in permitting me to care for you and your family's dental needs for the past 39 years. It has been an honor," writes Dr. Garon in a letter going out today.

"After a long and careful search, I have found two talented and compassionate pediatric dentists to take over my practice. I will still be part of the team, but in a lesser capacity, so I can spend time with our 7 grandchildren," he says.

Parish Pediatric Dental Krewe was established by Baton Rouge natives Dr. Kat O’Hara Corbin and Dr. Elizabeth Sherman Kleefisch. Lifelong family friends and mothers themselves, Dr. Kat and Dr. Elizabeth understand the importance of fostering a happy and comforting dental home to promote oral health for the younger members of our community.

You can read more about the doctors in the attached letter from Dr. Garon.

Parish Pediatric Dental Krewe is open and currently accepting new patients under the care of Dr. Kat. Dr Elizabeth is in Virginia while her husband serves in the US Navy, but will be in the office part time in January 2025 and full time the following year.
