Sorry if we’ve given you the summer scaries with our cover photo, but you need to know: it’s just about time to start uniform shopping. And while we are and will remain #allabouttheZ, we’ve included information about the area’s private schools that count Zachary kids among their enrollment numbers. Whether you're a student, parent, or just enjoy the excitement in the air, we've got plenty of tips, tricks, and stories to make this transition smooth and fun.
This issue’s feature story is about the creatives, and it’s one we’ve been scheming about for months. The concept here is to showcase locals who are making a living with their creativity–not just those who produce physical works of art, but also those who approach problems in an innovative way, and who make our community vibrant and unique. From painters to writers to tech-minded individuals, their stories are sure to inspire your own creative endeavors.
And because everyone deserves a nice little treat, we’ve compiled a handy section on where to find the best in town–complete with a handy map of downtown’s sweetest spots.
We're also celebrating 3 years of P & P, so join us for a walk down memory lane.
So whip up a Tomato Girl Mocktail (recipe on p. 20), settle into your favorite reading spot, and dive into this issue. Here’s to new beginnings, creative inspirations, and a little bit of sweetness along the way.
