Giving Back: Raising Cane's

Walk into Raising Cane’s in Zachary, and you’ll get more than the smell of crispy, golden chicken fingers. You’ll feel a true sense of community. Under the ownership of Sharron and Shawn Ventura, this Cane’s is about more than great food. It’s about giving back and sharing the love.
The Venturas and their team have made generosity a way of life, from helping student groups raise funds to backing local sports teams and recognizing kids’ achievements. They employ and train high school students, instilling a culture of accountability and excellent customer service. “I give my husband complete credit for the training,” says Sharron. “If you’re not investing in the people under you, it’ll never be as good as you want it to be.”

That dedication has paid off—Cane’s Zachary was once the #1 store in the company. But their impact goes beyond business success. Just before Christmas, they donated 115 meal gift cards to Zachary Charity League’s snack pack program, helping feed food-insecure children. They also host “Cane’s Night” fundraisers, giving 15% of sales back to local schools, and award 400 kids' combo certificates each school year to the “Star Students” in each of our elementary schools.

The Venturas’ commitment to Zachary schools doesn’t stop there. Sharron captures memories at school events through her photography, while they support countless local initiatives from church VBS programs to the YMCA, Relay for Life, and community fundraisers. “God has blessed us, and we believe in giving back,” she says.
At its core, Raising Cane’s is about ONE LOVE®—serving the best chicken fingers. But in Zachary, that love extends far beyond the kitchen, touching the entire community.
